 Dr. Martin
has been in private practice in the Dallas area for over twenty years. She is a
rare breed; one of the only Christian, Female, Child, Adolescent and Adult
Psychiatrists you will find, anywhere.
Unlike many psychiatrists these days, Dr. Martin
insists on seeing every patient personally (no nurses) and she actually listens
to her patients (what a concept :) Dr. Victoria Martin is a Board Certified
Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist. She has a Doctor of Medicine
degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and has
done five years of post-doctoral studies specializing in child, adolescent and
adult psychiatry. In addition to these studies, Dr. Martin has passed
the Specialty Board exams given by the American Psychiatric Association (APA)
and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). This
is the most advanced certification offered in this field. She is, therefore,
well qualified to diagnose and treat any psychiatric disorder. Dr.
Martin does a great deal of work in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and is considered one of the foremost
experts in this area. Also, a great deal of her practice is spent treating
depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders.
